Questions importers ask
What is CPSC eFiling?
Importers of products covered by a CPSC rule must electronically file certificate data (a Children's Product Certificate or General Certificate of Conformity) with U.S. Customs at entry. CPSC's rule (16 CFR part 1110) made this mandatory from July 8, 2026.
Do my files get uploaded to EntryCert?
No. The checker, CSV validator and generator run entirely in your browser. Your CSV and lab report PDF are read locally and are never sent to our servers.
Does EntryCert replace testing or my customs broker?
No. Children's products still need testing by a CPSC-accepted third-party lab, and your broker or filer still transmits the entry. EntryCert prepares and checks the data: certificate, Registry CSV and the elements your broker needs.
Is this legal advice? Are you affiliated with CPSC?
No to both. EntryCert is a data-preparation tool built from CPSC's published files. The importer is the certifier and is responsible for every certificate and filing.
Which CPSC files is the tool built on?
CPSC's Product Registry CSV template V3 and User Guide for CSV Upload V3, the official citation and testing-exclusion code list (Dec 2025), and CPSC's HTS flag list (Oct 2026).
What does it cost?
The checker, CSV validator and generator are free; free certificates are marked DRAFT. A license key from a paid plan unlocks final certificates without the DRAFT watermark. See the pricing page.
